Automation comes last, not first.

Asking AI for an answer is stage 1. The work gets more useful when you use AI to test ideas, learn your process, and handle bigger jobs with clear rules.

The 5 stages:
1. Ask AI: Get an answer.
2. Think with AI: Find gaps in your ideas.
3. Teach AI: Show it how you like work done.
4. Delegate to AI: Give it a meaningful assignment.
5. Automate with AI: Have it repeat the work on a schedule.

At stage 2, ask AI to find blind spots and question whether the work needs to exist.

At stage 3, give AI context, examples, rules, and feedback. Let it ask questions. Check the output, then save your process as a reusable skill.

At stage 4, give AI a real job with several files. Check every figure and piece of evidence before you trust the result.

At stage 5, schedule a reliable skill. Start with drafts for human review. Add tools or connectors when the job needs fresh data.
