July 2026 Theme: Creative Surfaces

Some of the most exciting discoveries happen when we stop assuming there's only one "right" surface to paint on.

Throughout July, we'll explore DIY pastel papers, affordable sanded surfaces, homemade texture techniques, pastel grounds, and creative alternatives that can produce beautiful professional results without requiring expensive materials.

Whether you're painting on premium paper or experimenting with a homemade surface, this month's lessons are about curiosity, exploration, and discovering just how versatile soft pastels can be.

If you've ever wondered, "Will this work?" this is the month to find out.

Grab your pastels, don't be afraid to experiment, and let's discover some new favorites together.

Be sure to subscribe and hit the bell icon to be notified of my new lessons this month!!!

God Bless and Happy Painting!!!
