There is possibly a new record blue catfish in West Virginia. This giant blue catfish was caught by Tyler Harmon while fishing on the Ohio River. This will become the second West Virginia state record blue catfish to come out of the Ohio River this year. Record breaking catfish are rare, so catching two of them within a few months in the same river and state is even more rare. This giant blue catfish may qualify for the Catch the Fever state record program where $20,000 is paid out to anyone that breaks the state record for a catfish while using Catch the Fever gear, and releases it alive.
