How I Keep a Custom Home Build From Falling Behind

Scheduling one week out is easy. Scheduling a whole custom home so every trade has somewhere to work every single day is the hard part. In this one I'm on a live job site walking through exactly how we do it.

We color code the house into zones, map an entry point into every zone, and position trades so the work never stops. That's the wide lens. Then I get into the myopic lens, the micro moves that happen all day long. Checking the blocking for floating shelves. Confirming outlet placement. Knowing the depth of a sink so the plumber sets the P trap right the first time.
