Can Claude make videos? Yes. Claude Code writes the animation as code (JavaScript, React or Python), and a renderer turns that code into an MP4.
Is code video the same as an AI video generator? No. A generator paints pixels from a prompt. Code video draws every frame from a program, so it renders the same every time and you can edit one scene at a time.
Is it free? The rendering tools are free. You need a Claude plan to run Claude Code, and Remotion needs a paid license for companies with 4 or more people.
Remotion or HyperFrames? Remotion if you work in React and want clean motion graphics. HyperFrames with GSAP or Anime.js for character cartoons.
Is ultracode worth it? Every ultracode video was better, but the review-and-fix rounds barely moved the scores. Build once on your best model with a strong prompt, then make small fixes yourself.
