1. Paste your CV into Notepad first.
If it comes out scrambled, the software may see it that way too. Keep your resume simple and single-column.
2. Don’t apply to old listings.
When I was hiring, I’d stop after finding enough strong candidates. Aim for the first 24–72 hours.
3. Check the company’s career page first.
CareerHound.io pulls jobs from company career pages into one feed and lets you filter for the last 24 hours.
4. If the company is hidden, Google a sentence from the listing.
Put a unique line in quotation marks. You may find the original company posting.
5. Stop writing cover-letter novels.
Their requirement → your proof. Keep it relevant and get to the point.
6. It’s OK to say, “I don’t know yet.”
Then find the answer and follow up. The yet matters.
7. Ask this before leaving an interview:
“Is there anything about my background that gives you hesitation?”
Give yourself a chance to address it.
8. Explain your work like we’re having dinner.
Clear beats complicated every time.
9. Track where your interviews come from.
Company sites? LinkedIn? Indeed? Referrals? Double down on what’s actually working.
10. Follow up the next day.
68% of hiring managers say it can influence their decision, yet only 24% of candidates do it.

None of this makes you more qualified. It makes it easier for the right people to see what was already there. Pick one and try it this week #wfh #remotejobs #workfromhome #remotework #workfromhomejobs
