23 to 29 July 2026 (8:00pm to 9:00pm)
29 July’26 Wed Personal Workflow Design and Sustainable Technology
Integration
Resource Person: Dr. Punit Pathak, Assistant Professor, G.S.F.C. University, Vadodara
About the FDP: This Faculty Development Program equips educators and administrators with practical strategies to integrate AI-powered productivity tools into their professional workflows, enabling greater efficiency, reduced administrative burden, and enhanced focus on core teaching and research activities. Through sessions on AI fundamentals for productivity, task automation, writing assistance, data organization, communication enhancement, and workflow design, participants will discover how intelligent tools can streamline email management, accelerate document preparation, optimize scheduling, support decision-making, and enable better work-life balance. The program emphasizes that productivity is not merely about doing more but about
working smarter—eliminating low-value repetitive tasks, reducing cognitive load, and creating space for creative and strategic thinking. By exploring category-specific tools (writing, analysis,
organization, collaboration), understanding integration patterns across platforms, and addressing concerns about over-automation and skill erosion, educators will develop personalized productivity systems aligned with their institutional role and disciplinary context. The program
blends productivity science with practical hands-on exploration, enabling participants to design sustainable workflows that enhance their professional effectiveness while maintaining human
judgment, critical thinking, and meaningful engagement with their work. By the end of the FDP, educators will possess concrete strategies to reclaim time, improve output quality, manage complexity, and model responsible technology use to students and colleagues.
Learning Outcomes: After attending this program, participants will be able to…
1. Understand the psychological and organizational principles behind productivity, recognize how AI can address specific bottlenecks (context-switching, cognitive overload, routine tasks), and
critically evaluate which productivity interventions align with their values and professional priorities.
2. Use AI writing assistants to accelerate drafting of course materials, emails, reports, and research documents while maintaining their distinctive voice, disciplinary conventions, and quality tandards.
3. Identify 3-5 routine administrative tasks suitable for automation or AI assistance (scheduling, email triage, grading support, document organization) and implement systems that reduce manual
effort while preserving human oversight and decision-making.
4. Deploy AI tools for data analysis, literature synthesis, information extraction, and knowledge organization to support both teaching preparation and research endeavors, improving information
management efficiency.
5. Optimize their communication and collaboration patterns by leveraging AI-powered meeting facilitation, email management, scheduling tools, and document collaboration systems that
enhance team coordination and reduce friction in institutional workflows.
6. Design a personalized, sustainable productivity system that integrates 2-3 AI tools into their daily workflow, establishes clear protocols for tool use aligned with institutional policy, and
establishes guardrails to prevent over-automation or skill atrophy in critical professional competencies.
