Mexico City workers are getting an unusual World Cup perk: a day away from the office.
President Claudia Sheinbaum announced that government employees in the capital will work remotely on June 11, when Mexico kicks off the 2026 FIFA World Cup against South Africa.
The goal? Reduce the city's notorious traffic jams.
"It is not an obligation," Sheinbaum said, noting that shops, restaurants, factories and essential services will continue operating as normal.
