I love Legos, so I asked Opus 5.5 to build a 500-piece set. It made a video of the build with sound, printed a 63-page instruction booklet, walked through the full assembly, and gave me screenshots so I could check that every piece was a real Lego piece and every connection worked. The whole job took 89 million tokens and 1% of my weekly usage, which works out to about 50 cents on my subscription. On the API, the same job would have run $40 to $50. That's why task efficiency matters more and more. Everybody's work is different, and a good test of a model is whether it finishes your tasks well and what it costs to get there.
