“Passive income” sounds great. The problem is that most of what gets sold as passive income isn’t actually passive.

Buying a small business means operating it, improving it, and dealing with everything that comes with ownership.

Real estate isn’t much different. Especially with commercial and multifamily properties, there’s real work involved and at today’s borrowing costs, the math can get difficult very quickly.

The idea of making money while doing nothing is appealing.

But the reality is usually a lot more work than the internet wants you to believe.
