How do I actually use AI in my day-to-day work as a doctor?

In this video, I walk you through the tools I use for research, studying, organising information, preparing teaching notes and clinical documentation—and where each one fits into my workflow.

I cover:

• NotebookLM for guidelines, summaries, flashcards, quizzes and mind maps
• Obsidian and Obsidian Copilot for organising and asking questions about my own notes
• Heidi and OpenEvidence for exploring clinical questions and checking the original references
• Readwise and Obsidian Web Clipper for capturing useful reading and bringing it back when I need it
• Lyrebird for documentation, consultation templates and reviewing draft notes

Each tool has a specific job. I still need to check the evidence, review the output and make the decisions. AI can make the work easier, but it does not replace clinical judgement.

If you are studying for exams or starting work in Australia, choose one tool that fits what you need right now and get comfortable using it.

Which tool would you start with? Let me know in the comments, along with any questions about how I use these tools.
