Rods I use include the Okuma Celilo Graphite Ultra-Light Trout Rod 4.5 ft, Bass Pro Shops Micro Lite Graphite Spinning Rod 4.6 ft, Bass Pro Shops Micro Lite Graphite Spinning Rod 5.6 ft, and a KastKing 500 Reel with 4 lb–6 lb test line. Carry an “Old Man Rope” for steep banks — a large stroller clip with 5/8” or 3/4” polypropylene rope around 15 feet long works well.
