New White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia made her debut at the podium Tuesday, saying she hopes to amplify President Donald Trump’s agenda as the administration heads toward next month’s midterm elections.

“I get to do what I was doing on the outside already, which was hoping to amplify, multiply and expand upon President Trump’s incredible agenda for the American people,” Zacharia said when asked whether her job was to help Republicans in the midterms. She also said Trump plans to hold more rallies, including stops in Georgia, Kentucky and Florida.

Zacharia said she would keep and expand the “new media seat” in the briefing room, which her predecessor, Karoline Leavitt, introduced. She also said the White House had asked Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle to resign, calling her “a wonderful asset to the team.”

Asked whether the U.S. had stopped sharing intelligence with Ukraine, Zacharia said she would follow up. She also addressed how she would balance the job with family life, saying her husband and four children would move to Washington and that her children would remain a priority.
