Do recruiters reject students without a B.Tech degree?

This is one of the most common questions parents ask.

But most job descriptions today simply ask for a “Bachelor’s degree” — not necessarily a B.Tech. For recruiters, the bigger signal is whether the student has the skills required for the role.

That means DSA, projects, internships, GitHub, problem-solving ability and proof of work matter far more during evaluation.

As discussed in the video, recruiters are open to students pursuing full-time, online or remote degree pathways, as long as they can demonstrate strong technical skills.

Because in tech hiring, the question is not just: “What degree do you have?”
It is: “Can you do the work?”
